Join us and make the dream of home ownership possible! JOB SUMMARY The Litigation Ambassador (Sr.
) supports the Servicing Organization and Corporate Legal Department.
In this role it is necessary that the incumbent has the understanding to cross support both the servicing and the corporate litigation world if the Litigation Ambassador Principals are unable to attend hearings.
In this role the incumbent must be able to handle any type of foreclosure or bankruptcy related matter in addition to their primary job duties are described below.
The LA (Sr.
) will be familiar with all investors serviced by the organization and will work through retention/liquidation/settlement options with our customer and/or their legal representation.
The LA (Sr.
) is considered an experienced corporate representative or corporate witness and must be able to complete their job duties timely, accurately and under no supervision while outside the office.
The LA (Sr.
) must understand and explain a loan from origination through foreclosure in a fast-paced, high stressed legal setting.
The LA (Sr.
) must be able to make on-the-spot decisions with large sums of money available to them and explain why their direction was the best path for the organization and investors.
Scope/Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Frequent Travel Required Serve as a corporate representative/witness in various jurisdictions across the continental US, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
Represent the organization either telephonically, by Skype (Video) or in-person at court hearings pertaining to the foreclosure or bankruptcy matter.
Become familiar with judicial procedures as they relate to foreclosure and bankruptcy matters.
Develop and become a subject matter expert in being able to speak to various investor guidelines.
Respond to phone calls, written correspondence from attorney’s, mediators, business partners, upper management professionally and timely.
Management of travel expenses and timely submission of expense reports in compliance with organization policy and practices.
Familiar with excel to read, interpret and ahead to department reporting metrics.
Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
Comfortable being called upon to train, assist and direct new DCA joining the department.
Must be able to recognize a potential opportunity and work towards closing the gap.
Appear on behalf of the corporate legal department at court hearings.
Provide operational litigation support to executive management, inside counsel and outside counsel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES At least 8 years of experience in a corporate representative role or similar job function Critical component to this job is being comfortable with public speaking as your primary audience will be judges, attorneys, court-appointed personnel, and our customers.
Knowledge of federal laws and regulations governing residential mortgage origination and servicing.
ECOA, FDCPA, FRCA, TCPA, REG X AND REG Z of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, CFPB requirement for mortgage servicers Working knowledge of law firms and how they are an essential business partner in a foreclosure or bankruptcy.
Knowledge of all mortgage servicing departments primary functions, procedures, and policy standards set by industry standards.
Complete knowledge and understanding of the mortgage servicing industry.
Advanced knowledge in the Foreclosure/Bankruptcy and Litigation space Mr.
