*Your Role*:
The firm is currently in a period of rapid growth.
We are looking to hire a Texas Bankruptcy Attorney to handle mortgage default related bankruptcy matters throughout the State of Texas and also assisting with Florida and Georgia bankruptcy matters.
The position will be in our Plano, Texas office but we are open to remote or hybrid options.
This position is ideal for an experienced bankruptcy attorney who is looking to use their valuable knowledge of federal bankruptcy law in the mortgage default practice area.
*What You'll Do*:
* Drafting and reviewing Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Responses, Objections, Reaffirmations and Notices.
* Reviewing and analyzing Ch 11, 12, and 13 plans.
* Attending hearings in Texas bankruptcy courts.
* Communicating with clients regarding case status, hearing results and attorney fees.
* Monitoring and reviewing incoming bankruptcy filing notices.
* Communicating and coordinating with Bankruptcy Assistant(s) to ensure client referrals are handled timely.
* Negotiating resolutions with opposing counsel and Trustee offices.
* Assisting with Florida and Georgia bankruptcy matters.
* Assisting with other related duties as assigned.
*What You'll Need*:
* Texas Bar License (Required)
* Minimum 3 year(s) of bankruptcy experience in a law firm.
* Extensive knowledge of federal bankruptcy law, including the local rules and requirements of Texas bankruptcy courts.
* The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of the Texas non-judicial foreclosure process.
* Licensed to practice law in Texas.
* Admitted to practice in all federal and bankruptcy districts in Texas.
* Admitted or willing to get licensed to practice law in George (by way of application).
* Admitted or willing to get licensed to practice in the federal and bankruptcy court of Georgia.
* Licensed to practice law in Florida a plus.
* Admitted to practice in the federal and bankruptcy court of Florida a plus.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
* Ability to handle a transactional caseload with minimal supervision.
* Willingness to ask questions when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
00 - $110,000.
