Are You a Piper or Highland Drummer? (Sherman)

Did you know that Sherman Texas has a pipe band? Most people don't.
The Shields of Honor Pipes and Drums is a group of dedicated bagpipers and drummers committed to serving the community.
With a focus on honoring fallen public servants through the music of the pipes, this service band is open to everyone who share a passion for piping and drumming.
We meet once a week in the Sherman, Texas area, the band also offers instruction in highland piping and drumming for those interested in developing their skills.
If you have always wanted to learn the Highland Bagpipes or if Highland drumming is your thing make, plans to join us.
Currently we are holding practice at 6:30 PM, Thursdays at the North Park Baptist Church, located at 2605 Rex Cruse Dr in Sherman TX.
You are welcome to come in and sit in on a practice.
We are a dynamic and growing band with both short term and long term goals.
This is truly a community pipe band made up of people that live and work in the North Texas area.
We are a mixture of pipers at many different skill levels.
All we ask is that you come, willing to improve and to take the music seriously.
There is a lot of fun and satisfaction that comes from being a part of a great group.
