A Bit About The Role:
The Senior Financial Analyst is an intermediate position within the FP&A department.
The primary responsibilities of this position will be focused all aspects of revenue / margin planning, analysis, and reporting, in addition to orders and pipeline support.
This position will serve as a critical resource providing financial analysis and support to business partners throughout the organization.
GAAP and Cash Revenue / Margin planning, analysis, and reporting
Annual Revenue / Margin plan and quarterly forecasts
Understand order dependencies and revenue recognition impacts
Understand deferred revenue / Deferred cost of goods sold impacts to plan and quarterly forecasts
Coordinate weekly Orders and Revenue Dashboard meetings
Compile and distribute weekly Executive Orders and Revenue presentation
Pre-Sales support through Revenue Recognition and Cash Collection
Perform in-depth variance analysis of financial results against revenue forecasts
Revenue / Margin reporting coordination
Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; presenting findings, analyses, and recommendations
Identify and develop business process improvements and technical solutions
Develop and track key performance metrics aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
Provide ad-hoc reporting and support to management, business partners, and fellow FP&A team members
Cross functional coordination between Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Order Management, Global Services, and Operations
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
3-5 years of “hands-on” Financial Planning and Analysis experience
Highly advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel and other MS applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Experience with Visual Basic (macros), Hyperion Essbase / Planning, Salesforce, RevPro, and Oracle Fusion is a plus
Expertise with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting
Proven experience with maintenance and manipulation of large data sets
Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
Understanding of revenue recognition principles
Understanding of the sales cycle (pipeline, order, revenue, cash)
Very high level of organization, attention to detail, and accuracy is required
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Possess solid time-management skills, able to work effectively under pressure
Maturity, professionalism, and a high level of confidentiality and discretion are required
Self-starter with the desire to streamline processes and a passion to learn and grow
