This is a rare antique Ninghsia 100% wool carpet on cotton foundation that was woven in West China at least 120 years ago.
The nature of the weave determines the age as an earlier Ninghsia as it shows a difference in terms of knot density.
This gorgeous area rug features a lovely beige field with a large central floral medallion that's supported by butterflies and hooked vine spandrels within a blue flowering vine border and enclosed by a blue surround.
This well crafted quality rug measures 60.
