Responsibilities Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children, ensuring the safety of all children in every activity Assisting in implementing curriculum Ensuring that care provided is consistent with state regulations Communicate with parents and other school personnel Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones Qualifications High school diploma or College Degree Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines Problem-solving skills
